"Our NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED teams have far exceeded even my wildest dreams!"

- Paula Chanda, Executive Director

A plaque in my office says "everything starts with a DREAM" & that is exactly what Hub Performing Arts School was for me- AN AMAZING DREAM!

The COMPETITION TEAMS are truly an extension of this dream. We wanted to offer national opportunities to our students & expose them to the theatrical world beyond our own community. Thus the COMPETITION TEAM was born.

The first teams were called ADVANCED PERFORMANCE TEAM. We took the team to the JUNIOR THEATRE FESTIVAL in Atlanta for 6 years & had AMAZING SUCCESS!

Then we began attending the NATIONAL PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL at DISNEYWORLD!

In 2021 we will start another adventure with MUSICAL THEATRE COMPETITIONS OF AMERICA where the awards are held at DISNEYLAND.

Throughout the journey,  teams  have traveled to NYC every summer for a BROADWAY INTENSIVE where they've worked with Broadway starts, saw shows & PERFORMED.

Take a look at this amazing journey!

A TRUE DREAM COME TRUE!

A Message From

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF TEAMS

Keely Umstot grew up at Hub and has stayed a part of the organization even after graduation as an instructor and now our Assistant Director of Musical Theatre Competition Teams. She believes that no matter what a child chooses to do in their future, being a part of the arts is important and being part of a team is even better.

"I learned so much being a part of Hub's competition teams that I have taken with me into my adult life. I strongly urge any kid interested in Theatre, Music or Dance to join us!"
